Biography:

Paula Norcott is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 25 years of experience supporting new families across clinical, community, and private settings. she served as a hospital-based LC for six years, where she also led staff education and helped strengthen clinical lactation protocols.

Currently, Paula is in private practice and the Lactation Educator for the Maine Perinatal Outreach and Education Program, where she designs and teaches ongoing education to nurses, providers, and support staff across the state. Paula is a speaker and facilitator presenting regularly for the Maine WIC Conference, Maine AWHONN, Ohio WIC, National WIC association and the B.E.S.T. Conference, where she has led panels on collaborative care, cultural considerations in feeding, and infant feeding equity. She is a strong advocate for expanded access to lactation care, including Medicaid reimbursement for IBCLC services.

Paula is on a mission to connect LCs across the world to build a professional support network, to uplevel the profession and foster connection and support among our colleagues by way of community. She is also the founder of Maine Mother + Company, a perinatal clinic and A wife of 32 years and Mom to five wild humans ages 11-31
