Biography:

Tashery Risner, CBS, is a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, nursing student, and founder of The Boobie Whisperer, LLC, providing perinatal education and personalized lactation support to families. She is pursuing her BSN at Western Governors University with the goal of becoming an IBCLC and Nurse Practitioner in Breastfeeding Medicine. Tashery has been in the lactation field since 2022 after she encountered many struggles with breastfeeding her first child and she saw first hand how the lactation industry needed more professionals to carry on the amazing work we all do.

She serves as a lactation peer counselor with Indiana WIC and is the Operations Support and Board Member for the NCBfC SAFE Team, supporting emergency infant feeding efforts during disasters. A U.S. Navy veteran, Tashery is also the Great Lakes Chapter Founder of the Global Lactation Military Community. Her work focuses on breastfeeding and medicine, perinatal grief support, and maternal-child health equity.
