The hero has not communicated with Maggie's daughter for many years, but all this time he has not really tried to restore communication with her. Now George has lost the last value in his life – housing. The circumstances turned out to be the worst, and the man was left on the street without a roof over his head. The main character has to wander through the streets of the city, trying to find a place to stay overnight and somehow feed himself. Every day is a struggle for survival. He remembers his old life, the ups and downs, his family, and the time when he thought he was happy. Gloomy thoughts and a sense of hopelessness became George's constant companions. Trying to numb his mental pain, he drinks alcohol more and more often. From time to time, a man comes to the bar where Maggie works as a bartender. He looks at her through the window, but does not dare to come in and talk to her. A man wants to establish a relationship with his daughter, but does not know where to start. Is there a chance for George to start his life anew?
