Herbal therapeutics are increasingly sought by families during the perinatal and lactation period, yet clinical guidance on safe and effective use remains limited and often inconsistent. Lactation consultants and perinatal providers are uniquely positioned to support informed decision-making when herbal options are considered. This presentation will outline a structured, evidence-informed approach to integrating herbal care into lactation consultations, moving from thorough client assessment to clear, accessible education and informed decision-making.
